LoanPath Enterprise includes the all the core LoanPath modules as well as Procurement, Document Management, Event Tracking as well as many more features necessary for effective Enterprise Credit Management:

The Uniqueness of LoanPath Enterprise allows customers to pick and customize the modules which meet your business needs and implement them on a state of the art platform utilizing the business features described.

Rules Engine

LoanPath Enterprise strives to separate "what happens" from "why it happens". Rules are at the heart of LoanPath's ability to do this. By implementing business logic in the rules engine business analysts rather than developers can change the application to meet their needs. This significantly reduces cycle time and greatly improves adoption amongst a distributed user base. Rules can be built for everything from approval requirements, to credit limits, to security credentials.

Workflow and Flexible Business Process

LoanPath Enterprise's core workflow engine, based on the industry standard Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) specification, allows internal experts - not developers - to model and simulate workflows. Partners that have standardized on BPEL can integrate their workflows with those of LoanPath to allowing for consistently integrated processes end-to- end.

Business Entities

The business entity framework in LoanPath Enterprise allows for complex dynamic relationships between actors and objects like borrowers, guarantors, assets, lines of credit, exposure, loss pools, real property, building and workflows. The entire transaction can be managed from a bird's eye view while individual workflows handle appraisals, pricing, credit approvals, and documentation. This allows for the management of sophisticated transactions with corporate guarantors, multiple financial instruments, and differing types of collateral.

Search Capabilities

Perspectives are an important part of any business user's day. Everyone needs to see information a little bit differently. The search and queue framework within LoanPath Enterprise allows groups of users to have customizable queues, selecting which column are important to them. Whether users are interested in credit quality, transaction type, or total exposure, these needs can be satisfied without coding. Filling the queue is just as dynamic with very flexible search options on almost any entity in the system.

Work Queues and Task Management

LoanPath Enterprise enables shared work queues to complete the high volume of credit management tasks. Work queues are dynamic and can be saved with complex search criteria allowing for narrow, targeted work queues with skills-based routing, or wide search queues using simple criteria such as transaction amount or geographic location.

More importantly, queues can be constantly updated: tasks can be added, removed, or even reallocated as new users sign into the system. This allows for follow-the-sun type routing and is a building block for any organization's migration to a shared services infrastructure.

Localization LoanPath Enterprise includes full support for localization of all components including the presentation layer, generated documents, currency, error messages, and validations. Localization means easy roll out of LoanPath to new locales, with greatly increased rates of adoption. In addition, if the customer facing modules are used, then compliance is easily achieved with little or no hassle.

Comments

Often the incidental data associated with a transaction gets lost or even worse, never recorded. By allowing comments to be attached to any entity, LoanPath Enterprise ensures that every communication between the enterprise and their customers can be logged and searched. Examples include assets (remarketing notes), borrowers (discussions about financials), or approval (notes for future compliance audits). LoanPath Enterprise features an easily extendable database so that common data points captured in comments can be added as searchable, auditable datum.

Versioning

As an enterprise credit management (ECM) system, LoanPath Enterprise's versioning of data is essential. ECM is often used as a method for enforcing compliance not only with internal underwriting guidelines, but governmental regulation. LoanPath supports these dual objectives by allowing for configurable versioning on almost any object. Credit applications, quotes, programs, workflows, rules, and assets all support versioning. This, along with LoanPath Enterprise's logging capability, enables an enterprise to replay any transaction exactly as it was configured, in order to verify the integrity of a decision, and satisfy OCC and other regulatory and internal compliance.

Auditing

Compliance is often the driving factor behind an enterprise credit platform. LoanPath Enterprise eases the compliance burden by allowing for auditing at the field level or object level. Combined with the versioning framework, this allows for detailed analysis of how designated objects within the system evolved during their lifecycle.

Transactional Integrity

Globally distributed transactions present a unique problem for an enterprise credit management platform. Often a single transaction (such as a Credit Application) can have multiple people working on it in separate locations. Simply locking a transaction will ensure that the transaction doesn't become corrupted, but at the cost of a drastic drop in productivity. LoanPath's optimistic concurrency allows for transaction to be locked at varying levels, allowing multiple users to work on a single transaction without stepping on each other's work.

Flexible Fields

Minor changes to the application are often required to meet business needs. For these quick fixes, LoanPath Enterprise's flex field implementation allows for minor changes to the data model and presentation layer with very little effort. Flex Fields are supported in multiple data types including simple fields, radio buttons, check boxes, or drop down list boxes.

Integrated Security Framework

Security must permeate an enterprise credit platform, and LoanPath Enterprise allows for extremely granular control of every operation within the system. Without any coding, security can be enforced at the field, panel, or tab level. Read-only access, edit access, or hide functionality is all supported, at each level. The framework is integrated with the event system allowing it to be controlled by the document management engine, rules engine, or workflow engine. This enables for complex scenarios, such as not allowing certain fields to be modified one a transaction reaches a specific status, or not allowing identified user groups to see a credit score panel. Separation of roles is supported requiring certain changes to be approved by another user before being committed.

Privacy and Encryption

The regulatory environment around privacy and encryption is constantly and rapidly changing, at a global level. LoanPath Enterprise anticipates this and supports implementation of unique security policies based on geographic attributes. The persistence layer also has native support encryption allowing any field to be designated as encrypted, insuring compliance with regulations such as California's SB1386.

Connections to Other Business Systems

LoanPath Enterprise is built to work with other systems. With XML at its core, and most functions exposed through web services, integration of LoanPath Enterprise with legacy systems is a structured and well understood practice. Blending seamlessly with service oriented initiatives; LoanPath can be accessed via message bus or SOAP. Support for the newest web services protocols means true enterprise integration including two phase commits, authorization, and choreography. All entities within the application are represented as XML, and can be accessed via SOAP. Many of the functions within LoanPath are exposed as web services, enabling a true service oriented architecture. Access into LoanPath while preferred over SOAP, but can also be implemented using JMS, ensuring that complex transaction can be rolled back with full support for two phase commits.

JSR 168 Compliance

The panels within LoanPath Enterprise are industry standard JSR-168 compliant portlets. This allows for easy embedding aspects of the LoanPath Enterprise application into other enterprise applications. Even more importantly, JSR-168 compliance allows finance companies to allow their partners to embed part of LoanPath Enterprise within their own application. This builds a truly extended enterprise and provides a level of customer intimacy and retention not before possible.

Ajax Validations

Refreshing an entire page just to find out that incorrect information was entered isn't only annoying (and contributes to abandonment rates) - it's downright 1990's. LoanPath Enterprise's client-side logic provides field by field validation and ensures that by the time a form is submitted to the server it is correct. Asynchronous validations also help with the high latencies that can exist when deploying a centralized application to far flung country offices with low bandwidth connections.
